As previous posts have detailed, I encounter interesting people with remarkable frequency. More often than not, these encounters result in interesting conversations. Given the nature of these conversations, I’ve taken to writing the most memorable parts down or making notes about them on my iPhone. Some have been shared in previous posts and others have been the subject of tweets. Today I present to you the most memorable lines from conversations I’ve had with strangers.

“Has anyone ever told you the world revolves around you?”

“Would you rather get the number of a guy who goes to Western or a guy who works at Toyota?”

“I’m magical. How are you?”

(About her dog) “I’ve never know her to crap on the sidewalk!”

“I remember you. You were the prettiest girl in Saugeen.”

“I’ve never been in Saugeen…”

“You’ve got to live!”

“I’ve lived enough!”

“Great to see you!”

“You look like you’ve been in a relationship for six years, and you tell everyone how happy you are.”

“The second coming of Jesus is in net.”

“Good luck with your PhD and your dreams!”

“Nice weather, eh?”

“Well, that escalated quickly.”

“Quick, which animal would you be?!”

“Come back! I want to keep talking to you about politics!”

“I like your outfit. You see, I’m a heterosexual male from Canada and dressing in a uniform is about as good as we can get.”

“You’re going the wrong way!”

“You don’t have to tell me that twice.”

“Then I’m really sorry.”

“I could wear a bandana and wristbands with lightning bolts, and then we could go on a date!”

“Spare a blank cheque?”

I have no doubt about it. I’ve talked to some interesting people, and will continue to have many more noteworthy conversation. Now tell me, what’s the most memorable thing a stranger has said to you?
